1416 - Drywall

Beginning last week and into this week 1416 has been in the drywall stage of construction. At Perthel Brothers, Inc. drywalling a home is a multiple step process that ensures a quality wall finish. First the home has all its sheetrock installed followed by cornerbeads. After that the entire home is cleaned out of all scrap drywall and paper is laid-out to cover all interior flooring. This extra step helps us keep our homes cleaner than most others during this messy process. After paper is laid-out the seams, corners, etc. are coated with two coats of compound then sanded to ensure a smooth wall. Once the walls have been prepared we spray the knockdown texture. The final step is painting the walls with a primer followed by a topcoat of high quality interior wall paint.

1415 - New Photos of Interior

Just today the carpet installation was completed at 1415. The home turned out great and has some very nice custom additions. In the kitchen we wrapped the island snackbar in maple paneling as well as lowering a section as a pass-through into the dinette (see above). We also installed a custom cabinet into the 2nd floor bathroom giving it much more storage space.

As this home already has an accepted offer there are some more additions as well. The home also has a structured wiring panel with wiring for a wireless access point centrally located in the kitchen pantry which will allow for better wireless coverage throughout the home. There are also 6 zones of speakers pre-wired with wiring for additional speakers facing the driveway and in the basement bar area in addition to the 4 usual locations. We’ve posted quite a few new pictures of the interior of this home under its page, which showcase some of these custom additions to an already great home.

1415 is now fully drywalled and the carpenter’s have been working for the past week.
